Deck Cleaning

Why Deck Refinishing is Needed

Long stretches of frequent rain followed by long stretches of intense UV exposure put both wood and synthetic decks to the test. If not maintained, the decking material will slowly start to deteriorate and take years off its potential life. A deck can require complete

replacement in as few as 15 years if it is completely neglected and the damaging effects of the elements are allowed to take over.

Deck Washing In Northern Virginia

Low Pressure + Detergent Secret to a safe clean deck

Additionally, our experience is that homeowners don’t use their decks as often if they are in poor condition. The aesthetic beauty of a well maintained deck is hard to beat and beckons you to come outside and enjoy yourself. Barbecuing, entertaining, reading, sunbathing and dining are just a few of the great activities to enjoy on your deck.

Restoring a weathered deck to its original beauty takes the experienced hands of a experienced washing technicians. We begin our refinishing process by cleaning the wood to remove surface contaminants such as dirt, mold, algae, and previous coatings. Old coatings can be tough to remove and may need additional cleaning techniques to help break them down. The wood will need to go through a drying period before it is ready for the next step, sanding. Wood type and climate will determine how fast the wood will dry.

I thought my deck appearance would be improved after washing, WOW, it really looked like a new deck. Next time I won’t wait so long. Thank you for your hard work!
